Bodrum Karaada

Bodrum Karaada, located right across from Bodrum and 4 miles away, is one of the stopover points for blue cruise and day trip boats. There is a cave where the boats dock and the boats usually anchor in front of this cave. Although its name is black, Bodrum Karaada is a lush green place with pine forests on its hills. There is a hot water source in the cave in question. It is known that the healing mud and hot water here are especially good for skin diseases. According to one rumor, it is said that the beauty of the famous Cleopatra comes from this mud. Tourists visiting Bodrum Karaada smear their faces and bodies with this mud and take souvenir photos. Then, they enter the boiling thermal water in the cave and immediately swim in the deep blue waters of Karaada. It is also rumored that a Mediterranean seal once lived on Bodrum Karaada. A meteor that fell on Bodrum Karaada, the largest island of the Bodrum Peninsula, thousands of years ago created a large hole in the shallow waters. Nowadays, jumping from a height is considered one of the most enjoyable activities. If you ever find yourself in Bodrum, don’t forget to visit Bodrum Karaada. We wish you a pleasant holiday in advance.
